External access to licensed digital offerings

Members of the Ludwigshafen University of Business and Society can also use the digital services licensed by the university library - databases, electronic journals and newspapers and e-books - from off campus.

This means that academic information is available to you flexibly - regardless of whether you are on campus, at home or on the move.

Access from outside the campus

Access to most licensed resources is via the university network and is made possible via a VPN connection.

  • Installation of a VPN client
  • Log in with your campus access data
  • Then access as in the university network

You can find detailed instructions on the IT Service Center's page Setting up a VPN.
The IT Service Center will be happy to help you with any questions.

Provider-dependent access channels

Some electronic services use alternative authentication procedures and can therefore also be used without a VPN:

  • ProQuest e-books
After registering once, you can use the platform with personal access data - both on and off campus.
  • Ciando e-books
On campus, access is directly via the university network.
A personal user account is required for off-campus use (registration with university e-mail address according to our instructions).

Terms of use

When using the electronic resources subject to license, please observe the applicable copyright regulations and the terms of use of the respective providers.
